Meet some of our Health Coaches
We asked our Health Coaches to introduce themselves. Check them out:
Lindsay Allen
After playing sports most of her life and into college, food was always an important tool. Lindsay decided to pursue dietetics at Virginia Tech and later complete her internship with the University of Delaware to better help people meet their health potential. Lindsay provided nutrition counseling and support to members of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, and for over a decade supported local governments with community education including nutrition, tobacco cessation, physical activity, and cancer prevention.
Lindsay has worked with Brook since 2016 and enjoys supporting members on a personal level. “It is amazing to see where someone begins and how far they can go with the right tools.” She is a firm believer that each person can succeed by setting attainable goals, being open to trying new things and reaching out for support. With three young children, Lindsay knows the challenges of staying healthy. Brook Health Coaches are here to help!
Outside of work, Lindsay is always outside being active with her family. She enjoys the sunny Florida weather and can be found biking, swimming, or spending time on the beach.
Taisha Bell, RDN
Taisha got on the path to becoming a dietitian by starting school for Nursing. After taking the required nutrition course she immediately knew dietetics was the career path for her. She enjoys creating gluten-free + plant-based recipes for her food blog, doing anything creative, music, hiking, camping, coffee, and dogs, especially her pup Thule! Taisha grew up in Montana and recently moved from NYC after completing her dietetic internship to Seattle.
Taisha’s approach to nutrition believes in identifying and implementing sustainable diet and lifestyle changes with her patients on an individualized level. Her goal is to help the individual enjoy food without guilt or bias while learning new ways to continually nourish their bodies with whole foods.
Bridget Bigelow, RDN, CDCES
Bridget studied nutrition at Rochester Institute of Technology and got her initial job training as a dietetic intern at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She became interested in diabetes and weight management early in her career, becoming a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. For over 15 years she counseled patients and provided diabetes education and weight management support in a busy Endocrine office in Rochester, NY.
She believes that realistic, gradual and positive health changes can produce amazing results over time. All foods can fit in a healthy meal plan and there is no one perfect diet. She also believes that living a balanced life is key to being a healthy person, and understanding the reasons why we eat (or overeat) are crucial to developing lifelong healthy habits.
Bridget has been with Brook since August of 2021. Outside of work, she loves to travel with her husband and adult daughter when she can, and likes painting, crafting and reading in her spare time.
Caitlin Dunn, RDN
Caitlin realized she was interested in nutrition in the fifth grade after winning a blue ribbon in her school’s science fair for her presentation on heart disease. As her interest in health and nutrition grew through high school, she began looking to see if she could make this her career. She attended Boston University where she completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nutrition science and has been working in the various aspects of the field for the past 10 years.
Caitlin’s approach to coaching is to meet clients where they are, and she recognizes that everyone has their own path to wellness. She works with her clients to uncover what eating styles work best for them and their lifestyle, so they have the best chance for success.
Karen, NBC-HWC
Karen is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Before joining Brook+, she worked on employer wellness programs for about 10 years. During that time, she was helping launch a pre-diabetes program when she was surprised to learn that she had pre-diabetes. She needed to make some lifestyle changes and a coach helped her discover the changes that were right for her. The coach inspired her to help others, so Karen is now a coach focusing on motivation and lifestyle change. She lives in Napa, California, and enjoys staying active with both tap and ballroom dance, organic vegetable gardening, healthful cooking, and walks with her husband and new puppy.

With a background in public health and sports nutrition, she specializes in holistic approaches that focus on nutrition, fitness, and mental well-being.

Madison Service, RDN
Inspired by her own personal journey, Madison began pursuing her career as a Registered Dietitian while studying Nutrition & Food Science at Colorado State University. After learning about the power of natural medicine and whole food nutrition, she attended Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA for her dietetic internship after graduation.
Madison enjoys supporting peoples’ health goals in a judgement-free, sensitive, and supportive environment through motivational coaching at Brook. She emphasizes mindful eating and working in partnership with each individual so they can best achieve their unique health goals. Nourishing not only patients’ physical bodies, but their minds as well, makes her job extremely rewarding.
In her free time, she is an adventure enthusiast and loves anything involving the outdoors including mountain biking, summiting peaks, and rock climbing. When not in the mountains, Madison enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, painting, and dancing to live music.
Cami Woomer, DTR, NBC-HWC
Nutrition wasn’t on Cami’s radar until college, where she started taking intro nutrition courses as electives in her childhood development/psychology classes. After falling in love with the science and application of nutrition, she switched majors and the rest is history. She’s a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and holds a Bachelor’s of Nutrition and Dietetics from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Cami is passionate about meeting people where they are and making nutrition accessible and using motivational interviewing techniques to help others achieve sustainable health goals and lifestyle changes.
Outside of Brook, you can find Cami outdoors hiking, camping, stand up paddle boarding, and biking with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys expanding photography and videography skills in nature and with food.
Jaclyn Zubiena
Jaclyn always knew she wanted to help people. After getting her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology she went on to get trained as a life coach. When she was pregnant, she was diagnosed as having gestational diabetes. After she had her son it went away, but she was left with the knowledge that she was at a higher risk for developing type 2. With this knowledge, she made a commitment to continue to live a healthier lifestyle and she knew she wanted to help others do the same! She became a Certified Health and Well-being Coach and went on to get trained as a NDPP (National Diabetes Prevention Program) Lifestyle Coach. She believes creating a healthier lifestyle is all about finding what works for YOU and she loves that she gets to help others with this through Brook+. When she’s not coaching, she enjoys doing yoga, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Elise’s interest in nutrition began in college, when she wanted to learn how to stay healthy while following a vegetarian diet. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a Coordinated Program in Nutrition and Dietetics at Seton Hill University. Elise worked in a clinical setting for almost ten years before making the move to Brook to focus on health and wellness coaching.
Elise has a passion for nutrition education and counseling. She believes that no one diet works for everyone, but with the right guidance and support, each individual can learn to make healthy choices that work for his or her own lifestyle. Her favorite part of the job is seeing how small changes in eating habits and physical activity over time, can result in major improvements to individuals’ health and well being.
When she’s not working, Elise loves spending time outdoors with her family, camping, biking, and hiking with their dog. She also enjoys dancing, reading, and baking delicious treats for her loved ones.
Jackee Porter
Jackee is a native of the Greater New Orleans area. Since New Orleans isn’t known for healthy eating, Jackee knows what is takes to make healthy changes in a very tempting environment. Jackee considers herself a recovering sugar addict. She went from eating 3 bags of gummy bears a day to helping people take their lives back from diabetes. Jackee is relatable on a personal and professional level. Her background in Community Health Education and Health Promotion is just the tip of her iceberg. Her favorite food: gumbo. Her biggest pet peeve: bad traffic. Her favorite past time: meeting new people and finding something in common with them. In 2020, Jackee’s New Years Resolution was to meet a new person everyday. By the end of the year, she’s met well over 365 new people (and made several new friends). Jackee describes healthy and happy as: “hysterically laughing out loud, the feeling of the warm sun on my skin, and peace in my heart.”
